Charles Melton Wines

Charles Melton Wines, located on Krondorf Road in Tanunda, has been producing premium Barossa red wines since 1984. With a focus on Shiraz and Grenache varieties, the winery offers a range of classic dry reds, including the renowned Nine Popes blend. These wines, inspired by the Rhone region, have earned a reputation as leading examples of their kind. The vineyards in the Barossa benefit from being unaffected by phylloxera, allowing for the cultivation of vines aged over 130 years, resulting in intensely flavoured berries. Charles Melton wines stand out due to the quality of fruit, meticulous winemaking techniques, limited supply, and international acclaim.
